We would like to wish you a Prosperous New Year. This yearmarks the 29th year Margaret’s rendering residential care for children who are need of care and protection. I am humbled to be the chairperson leading transformation at the organization. I want to thank our predecessors who contributed during the 29 years. It is with great pleasure to inform Margaret’s House friends and partners that Social development confirmed our registration from conditional registration to full registration in October 2015. We are committed to deliver excellent services to children in our care.

Social worker appointed
Sidwell Mfecane was appointed as the new social worker at Margaret’s House

2015 school progress

Three learners received merit awards for academic progress
12 Children pass their grade
Two children to repeat the current grade
Two children to be transferred to special needs schools

Reunification /integration

One child was reunified with his family end November 2015
One child was placed in foster care in December 2015
Two children be reunify with his biological family in January 2016

We would like to say a big thank you to all the Donors who have contributed to the success of Margaret's House - without you we could not do it!

2015 was a challenging year for the organization given the economic situation in South Africa. The operational cost to run an NPO increases however donation decreases which is a direct threat to the organization. We are grateful to our regular donors who continue to invest in the organization. We stay committed and accountable to our donors and greater community to be good stewards of donations received. We are equally grateful to the people and organization who donate in kind. The organization received a clean audit for 2014/15 financial year.
